Edged US Breaks Ground on 200 MW Council Bluffs Data Center to Power AI

In a thriving Omaha–Council Bluffs market at a key Midwest fiber crossroads, Edged brings large capacity to support next-generation AI inference.

COUNCIL BLUFFS, IA (OMA) — (October 29, 2025) — Edged US, a fast-growing provider of AI-ready infrastructure, has broken ground on a new state-of-the-art data center in Council Bluffs - anchoring capacity in the Omaha–Council Bluffs technology corridor at the junction of major long-haul fiber routes. This is Edged US’s second data center groundbreaking in Iowa this year, underscoring the continued demand for large scale data center capacity within the Midwest.

The ceremonial groundbreaking - attended by Council Bluffs Mayor Matt Walsh - brought together Edged operations and construction leaders, alongside project leadership from Turner Construction and other regional partners, underscoring the area’s strengths: robust, carrier-diverse connectivity; a skilled, tech-savvy workforce; and a pro-innovation business climate.

The Council Bluffs site will deliver 200MW of critical capacity to support the growing IT needs of the region. The project is slated for completion within 24 months and will join Edged’s rapidly expanding North American network spanning Atlanta, Chicago, Columbus, Dallas, Kansas City, Des Moines and Phoenix.

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
