New York, NY (June 5, 2024) — Edged Energy, the fast-growing sustainable data center infrastructure company, today announced the appointment of top industry veteran Royce Thomas as Chief Revenue Officer. The seasoned sales executive brings more than 30 years of global sales, business development and marketing experience to guide the team’s rapid U.S. expansion. In his role as Chief Revenue Officer, Thomas will be responsible for the overall customer experience and go-to-market strategy, including driving revenue growth, identifying strategic partnerships, and building a world-class sales and customer service organization.

The state-of-the-art facilities support the intense demands of generative AI and high-performance GPU-based computing—supporting 200 kW/rack with liquid-cooling integration—without consuming any water for cooling. The platform is significantly more efficient than conventional data centers, reducing energy overhead by 74% compared with the global industry average.

Prior to joining Edged, Thomas served as President and Chief Business Officer for CtrlS, Asia’s largest Rated 4 data center provider. Before joining CtrlsS in 2022, Thomas spent more than a decade at Equinix as Senior Vice President of Strategic Alliances and Global Account Management where he led the team responsible for generating 25% of the company’s total revenue. He also held senior sales and leadership roles at Level 3 Communications and Sprint.
